Mission Statement
ARKINA’s mission is to bring together Ramakshatriya families across North America and to promote, preserve, and celebrate our shared social, cultural, literary, educational, and charitable traditions.
Through community gatherings, educational programs, publications, scholarships, cultural activities, and charitable service, ARKINA seeks to strengthen relationships among community members and encourage greater awareness of our history, customs, values, and heritage.
ARKINA also provides a forum through which families can communicate, collaborate, support one another, and remain connected across different cities, states, and countries.
What We Strive to Achieve
ARKINA’s programs and activities are guided by the following community priorities.
Promote awareness and understanding of Ramakshatriya history, traditions, rituals, language, beliefs, and cultural identity.
Create opportunities for families to meet, communicate, build friendships, and remain connected across North America.
Encourage educational achievement through scholarships, recognition programs, publications, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Encourage articles, stories, poetry, art, music, drama, and other creative works in Kannada and English.
Organize charitable and service-oriented activities and provide support during hardships, emergencies, and times of community need.
Encourage children and young adults to participate in cultural, educational, leadership, and community-service activities.
Our Activities
Organizing national and regional meetings that bring families together for cultural programs, discussions, entertainment, and fellowship.
Supporting students and recognizing academic, professional, artistic, and community achievements.
Publishing Spandana and maintaining community resources that document family information, history, experiences, achievements, and creative contributions.
Encouraging music, drama, poetry, storytelling, travel writing, artwork, photography, and other forms of cultural expression.
Supporting charitable causes, assisting community members when possible, and encouraging service to the broader community.
